maps.mq: Established in mid-2012, we're the only society at Macquarie University that is dedicated to pop music from all over Asia (k-pop, j-pop, c-pop, t-pop). We welcome all Macquarie University students as well students from other universities! As no other student societies offered integrated Asian pop music culture at Macquarie University, we decided to create MAPS to fill this gap on campus. At the beginning, we initially started off with 6 eager foundational members. As our hard work paid off, we grew to about 50 members. Our current membership now stands at 153 and will continue to grow! During the semester, we hold a number of events that enables members to meet and greet each other while discussing about Asian pop music. Aside from that, we organise a number events held off and on-campus such as concert screenings, karaoke sessions, music trivia and many more! Join today and you won't be disappointed! We look forward to meeting many new faces at our stall at O-Week as well as at our future MAPS events!
